Registration of (Non-degree) Visiting Students

Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT Delhi) was created as a State University by an Act of Delhi Government (The IIIT Delhi Act, 2007) empowering it to do research and development and grant degrees. The Institute is academically and administratively autonomous.

The Institute rules, inter alia,  provide for registration of Non-degree Visiting students. A Non-degree Visiting Student is a student registered for a degree in a recognized Institute/University in India or abroad who has official permission from that Institute/University to attend classes, to carry out research or to avail himself of laboratory or other academic facilities at IIIT Delhi for a period of not exceeding six months.

Persons interested for registration as a non-degree visiting student for doing courses/project at IIIT Delhi should complete the form  and send it to the Institute by email at (admin-academic@iiitd.ac.in) or by post at institute address addressed to Registrar,  along with official letter of permission from their University/Institute, statement of purpose,  letter of recommendation from a qualified expert who knows the applicant well, and  photocopies of relevant transcripts.  Letter of recommendation should be sent directly by the recommender to the given email address or be in a sealed envelope.
