Research Interests

Research Interests span the area of "design of novel interconnect architectures for multi-core chips". Specifically, it comprises analysis of Network-on-Chip(NoC) communication fabrics in presence of long range millimeter (mm)-wave wireless links. Currently we are exploring different techniques to make the wireless interconnects more power efficient. We are also evaluating how on-chip directional antennas can improve the network performance. Congestion aware routing and efficient router design related problems are also being evaluated. We are also evaluating how hardware support for multicast and broadcast based traffic will improve NoC performance.
A second emphasis is towards development of low-cost biomedical signal acquisition unit for preventive cardiology.

Teaching Interests

Digital VLSI Design, SoC Design and Test, Integrated Electronics.
