Brief Bio
Apala Guha has received a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Virginia in 2010. She has worked at Intel Santa Clara and as a postdoc in the University of Chicago before joining IIIT-Delhi. Her main research interests are in the areas of high-performance computing and energy-efficient computing. Many new problems are emerging in these areas due to recent developments such as the end of Moore's Law. The response to this phenomenon ranges from multicore architectures to specialized and reconfigurable architectures. She is interested in applying compiler technology for enhancing the programmability and usability of these platforms.
