For the Academic Year (AY) 2013-2014, tuition fee for all B.Tech students has been kept at Rs. 1.40 Lakh per annum. To help deserving students from Delhi*, the Institute will provide fee-waiver of 25% or 50% of the fee as per criteria mentioned below:

* Students of previous batches from outside Delhi will continue to get fee waiver, provided all conditions as prevailed are fulfilled and a fresh application is made for grant of fee waiver.
The Institute may also consider applications where the income of the parents is between Rs.4.50 and Rs.6.00 Lakh per annum (between Rs.2.70 and Rs.3.60 Lakh in case of income from business). This, however, will be subject to approval of Board of Governors of the Institute.
Eligibility Conditions for Availing Fee Waiver for the Academic Year 2013-14
The following are the conditions:
(i) The Scheme is open to all Delhi based students admitted to the Institute (including those already studying) in B.Tech program. Students already studying are eligible to apply if they have passed all the courses in the previous year.
(ii) Students whose parents’ annual “gross income” (before any deductions/rebates etc.) is less than Rs.4.50 Lakh from “all sources” shall only be eligible for the Scheme. Income from property shall be before considering standard deduction on annual value for repairs, insurance etc. as allowed in the Income Tax Act, 1961. For parents in business/self-employment, income eligibility criteria shall be Rs. 2.70 Lakh p.a.
(iii) Application has to be made as per prescribed format. Please follow the link Application form for submitting the request. The last date for making application is 29th November, 2013.
(iv) Application need to be accompanied with following documents:
(i) Income Tax Return (ITR) of the Financial Year 2012-13. In case no ITR is filed a self-declaration of income on Stamp Paper may be furnished,
(ii) Form-16 of the year, and
(iii) Form 26AS of the year
(iv) Proof of Last School Fee paid
Applications of students on humanitarian grounds / special cases need to be accompanied by complete details of two respectable neighbors for verification. Such cases will be considered by a Committee. The Committee shall meet the parents of the student and make enquiry necessary for grant of fee waiver. The student will be required to sign a declaration affirming that in case any of the information provided is found to be false/misleading/concealing the facts, he/she shall be liable to a penalty of Rs.1 Lakh.
Please Note:
(i) For annual school fee, entire payment to the school including tuition fee, examination fee, development fee, transportation charges, lunch, books, uniform, sports, cultural charges etc. shall be considered. Invoice raised by the school along with document in support of payment such as receipts etc. shall only be acceptable. Letter etc. provided by the School certifying payment will not be accepted. Those who had fulfilled the criteria of “last school fee paid” need not submit these documents again.
(ii) The fee waiver shall be on tuition fee prescribed by the Institute. All other charges, if any, will have to be paid by the student.
(iii) The fee waiver shall be for each year of the course, provided condition with regard to family income of Rs. 4.50 / Rs. 2.70 Lakh p.a., as applicable, is fulfilled.
