Since its inception in 2008, IIIT-Delhi has been making a significant contribution to the society through our research, education and a wide range of activities undertaken by our students, faculty, employees and a vibrant community of our alumni worldwide. As we step into the 12th year of our institute’s foundation, it’s time to commemorate the contribution IIITD community has made during these past 12 years.
We plan to celebrate our 12th Foundation Day to exhibit solidarity and commitment towards society. This year’s theme,‘Touching Lives Globally’ will be an opportunity for us to acknowledge some of the incredible ways IIITDians have banded together as a community and made a positive impact on our society.
Join the Celebrations
Every year we celebrate foundations day on the 8th of September. However, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, we're taking Foundation Day online this year, with lots of ways for you to get involved without even leaving home. It will be entirely a virtual experience to bring together our students, faculty, staff and our ever growing network of Alumni from the comfort of their own homes.

On the occasion of 12th Founding Year of IIIT-Delhi, we are launching
Alumni Legacy Fund
As a part of our 12th Foundation Day Celebration, we are running a one month campaign from 8th August 2020 to 8th September 2020 dedicated to celebrating generosity and giving. IIIT-Delhi asks its Alumni to come together for one common purpose- to celebrate the spirit of giving through our campaign #IIITDGivingMonth.
We, at IIIT-Delhi, are consistently working to improve every student’s academic progress and achievements. Because of the unique educational mission, research institutes like us require consistent and sustainable financial support. One way through which we augment our capacity to deliver world-class learning is through individual donations. We have received generous donations in the past from our alumni which have been utilised to support our students through academic scholarships, travel support for international competitions, providing laptops.
The fund collected from this donation will be utilised for the students, to provide them travel grant, buy books, to provide internet infrastructure in these difficult times and more. Let us come together and meet the challenge of contribution by reaching a goal of 1000 donors; the donation can be small or big. We request our Alumni to support our #IIITDGivingMonth Campaign and make generous donations to the ‘Alumni Legacy Fund’.
There’s another catch for our alumni. We have a surprise for the Graduating Batch with the biggest gift total! Keep an eye on the batchwise leaderboards and take your batch to the winning position through your contribution.
